Product pushed back up a line has left its validated path, so it either becomes waste or forces a cleaning cycle. On a shared header, backflow is how one product ends up in another product's line — an allergen cross-contact event. The arrow on the body is not decorative, and a check installed backwards is indistinguishable from a blocked line.\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eLeave straight pipe upstream.
