The Apollo valve brand is now produced by the company Conbraco Industries, which was originally called Consolidated Brass Company. This was the result of a merger between two brass valve and fittings manufacturers from the Detroit area. In 2005, Conbraco placed all of its products under the Apollo name, winning new customers and new confidence from previous clients.
The Apollo Valves Conbraco Legacy
Apollo valves are famous for quality and innovation. In 1968, when the company introduced its Series 70 ball valve to the commercial market, the Apollo name became equated with success in meeting the demands--and surpassing expectations--of expanding industries. Today, the well known "Apollo Valves" name includes the entire Apollo Valves Conbraco Industries Inc line, and continues to flourish as an industry leader in the world of valve manufacturing. These products include a wide variety of ball and butterfly valves, gates and globes, various actuators, and virtually anything produced in the valve industry. Like the merger that happened over 8 decades ago, the combination of Conbraco and Apollo has been a winning strategy in industrial valve design and production.
The Apollo Valves line grows continuously, expanding to meet the constant need for new products. Employing the best designs and materials, Conbraco Industries caters to an ever growing market that encompasses more than just residential and commercial heating and plumbing: industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, and pulp and paper--to name just a few--all use Apollo Valves Distributor in particular, because of their long-term reliability. Vertically integrated manufacturing, state of the art U.S. foundries, and the same pioneering spirit that started it all ensures superior valves and valve related products. Manufactured right in South Carolina, Apollo Valves Conbraco Industries Inc continues to be recognized as the American industry standard--consistent production, meeting rigid quality control specifications, guarantees satisfied customers. All factories are ISO certified, and these facilities and their employees pride themselves on producing the finest, most innovative, and the most reliable products available on today's market.
Lead-Free Apollo Valves
One of the flagship products manufactured and sold under the Apollo Valves Conbraco name includes a series of environmentally friendly and health conscious lead free valves. Of particular interest is the Apollo 70 series, Apollo 76-100 & Apollo 76-600, and the Apollo 94ALF series. The series 70-100 bronze ball valves are a two piece, standard configuration featuring NPT female connections, chromium plated ball, and blow-out proof stems; lead-free bronze 70 series is listed under 70LF. The 76 series are stainless steel, available in 1/4" to 3" and have a steam rating of 150 psig. --lead free, and available in a 2" full port. The Apollo 94A series are brass ball valves, featuring NPT and solder connections, and are available in 1/4" to a 4" size. All of the aforementioned valves are counted among Apollo's "lead-free" product line. As environmental concerns continue to restrict valve designs, and the use of lead, Apollo Valves constantly upgrades valve materials and construction, always conforming to--if not exceeding--both State and Federal regulations.
