The FB5C Series is a precision valve for sterile back pressure applications. It has a hard seat and a choice of diaphragm and o-ring materials to match your environment.

The valve works by detecting the inlet, or back pressure, under the diaphragm which is created as flow enters through the side inlet port. When the back pressure exceeds the setpoint the diaphragm force compresses the range spring and the stem lifts off the seat and the valve opens. As flow increases further the back pressure decreases the spring and diaphragm relax and the stem returns to its normally closed position. A simple turn of the adjustment screw allows you to fine tune the setpoint to any value within the range of the regulator's spring.
